ARTIST STATEMENT ABOUT PERFORMANCE ART
Since some years, Performance Art is the main source of my research and artistic practice. To develop a connection between life and art, thought and act, space and time,... To face fears which comes to us everyday. In a world where we can be everywhere all the time but less and less present physically. A world where exchanges in all forms are growing while the notion of encounter disappears slowly...
My work is rooted in raw emotion connected to an autobiographical context to be treated in an artistic action. An action which question my human presence in the world. An action which question also sometimes a venue. The venue and its memory ...
This investigation can occur only by ephemeral actions created in situ. Not to escape from the world but to give again some value to the notion of HERE and NOW.
To create not a consumable and reproductible product but to create presence at the moment, where and with who it happens. Because... Maybe because... Men can destroy/ Women can create/ Artists revalue ( Y.Ono )?
